I advise on aspects of construction law, ranging from the procurement of a construction project to resolving disputes arising from construction contracts. Having originally qualified as a Civil Engineer, I now balance my legal advice by adopting a commercial approach.

My legal experience varies, having advised in relation to a wide range of projects including: high-end residential developments; large scale residential/commercial development projects; engineering projects for the utilities, rail, energy and nuclear industries; public and private sector framework agreements; partnering contracts; and PFI projects in social housing, leisure and health sectors.

My practice typically involves: project procurement and the allocation of risk/liability; drafting and negotiating construction contracts/development agreements; advice regarding payment disputes, insurance issues and CDM Regulations; advice regarding the interfaces between the ‘legal’ and ‘technical’ aspects of contracts; settlement of claims; mediation; adjudication; and High Court proceedings.
